The thermal wind direction in summer time is mostly West but there’s a special lagoon where the wind turns North East!Keep in mind that in Cape Drepano one can kitesurf with all wind directions!Last but not least the spot has already hosted 7 kitesurf festivals powered by wbsf (water board sports festival) and does so every year in July, with lots of music events, live concerts and water board sports shows by kitesurf instructors and professional athletes.

Shipwreck «NESTOS»!
In front of LEFKON, in the blue sea ,there lies a famous Greek shipwreck NESTOS.The minesweeper ship was bombarded by the German airforce on the 23rd of April 1941 during the Second World War.NESTOS is sunk vertically between 24 and 48 meters in the bottom of the sea with its bow being in the deepest spot.The particular sea bed consists mainly of sand and the inclination is rather high.
NESTOS is a beautiful shipwreck, where one can explore in great detail because its length is rather small and penetration in all of its parts is
Scuba divers interested in this shipwreck should be experienced due to the depth of wreck, the limited visibility that sometimes occurs caused by sediments and the strong sea currents.
